Indication:
Amiodarone is used to treat and prevent certain types of serious, life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias (a specific type of abnormal heart rhythm) when other medications have not been effective or cannot be tolerated. Amiodarone belongs to a class of medications called antiarrhythmics.
