Indication
Pantoprazole is used for heartburn, acid reflux, and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD) – a condition where acid reflux occurs frequently. It is also used to prevent and treat stomach ulcers. Occasionally, pantoprazole is prescribed for Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, a rare condition caused by a tumor in the pancreas or gut.
