Indication
Treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, which occurs when the level of glucose (sugar) in the blood becomes higher than normal. Glimepiride is an oral diabetes medicine that helps control blood sugar levels. Voglibose is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor which reduces intestinal absorption of starch, dextrin, and disaccharides by inhibiting the action of α-glucosidase in the intestinal brush border. Inhibition of this enzyme halts the decomposition of disaccharides into simpler sugars.
